BASI Systems F2 System and Accessory Package

The F2 System with the accessory package included, which is the combination most people actually need. The F2 System is the spring attachment arrangement at the centre of BASI's engineering, and it is the reason nearly every apparatus in the range leaves the factory with four prepared ports.

What it does is change where a spring can attach and at what angle. Remove the port cover, insert the F2 socket, fit the lever and springs can be loaded at angles the standard holders cannot reach. The levers also serve as handles, supporting wrists and shoulders in position for weight-bearing exercises.

The accessory package supplies the springs, carabiners and handles that make the system usable from the first session: two yellow springs, two long yellow springs, four carabiners, two neoprene handles and two aluminium handles.

Features

Angles the standard ports cannot reach
The F2 socket repositions where a spring anchors, which opens exercise configurations a fixed spring holder makes impossible.

Works across the whole range
Reformers, Cadillac, barrels, chairs and the spine corrector all carry prepared ports. One F2 System moves between them, and multiple systems can be used at once.

Levers as weight-bearing handles
Shaped to be gripped, so the wrist and shoulder are supported in the positions where they take load. That is a different job from a rope handle.

Accessories included
Four springs, four carabiners and four handles come with this package. The F2 System sold on its own needs those added.

Fits without tools
Remove the cover, insert the socket, attach the lever. The upgrade is a two-minute job on apparatus that already has the ports.

Installation

Minor assembly out of the box
Most of the apparatus is built. Depending on the model you will fit handles, spring holders or a standing platform with the hardware supplied and ordinary hand tools.

Two people to place it
The assembly is simple, the weight is not. Unpack where the apparatus will live and have someone with you for the lift.

Work every adjustment first
Move each adjustment through its full range and check that it locks before hanging springs. A fixing that was not fully tightened shows up here rather than mid-exercise.

Warranty, Shipping and Returns

BASI Systems publishes a tiered limited warranty that runs from the invoice date and covers the original purchaser only. Main wooden frames and structural wood components are covered for ten years. Steel and aluminium profiles, F2 components, springs, plastic parts and fasteners are covered for two years. Elastomer-coated parts, which means the footbar, hand bar, pedals, stoppers, handles and wheels, are covered for one year. The Pilates mat, upholstery and fabric accessories are covered for ninety days.

One condition is easy to miss and worth putting in your calendar. On spring-loaded apparatus BASI requires springs to be replaced every two years or every 3,000 hours of use, whichever arrives first, and skipping that can void the cover.

Shipping is free on orders within the United States. Large apparatus travels by freight truck and the carrier telephones ahead to agree a delivery window. Delivery is kerbside, so plan for two people and a clear route from the truck to the room. Smaller parts and accessories travel by parcel carrier, normally arriving within 7 to 10 business days once dispatched.

Inspect the crate before you sign. Any damage or missing box has to be written on the Proof of Delivery at the time of delivery, and the claim has to be raised within five business days, otherwise BASI will not accept liability. Photograph anything that looks wrong.

You have 30 days from delivery to return unused equipment in its original packaging, with no restocking fee. Refunds are issued within 7 business days of the return reaching us. Orders can be cancelled at no cost up to the point the apparatus leaves the factory.

About BASI Systems

BASI Systems manufactures the apparatus used by BASI Pilates, the teacher training organisation Rael Isacowitz founded. Because the equipment and the curriculum are developed together, the range shares one upgrade path rather than a set of dead ends. The F2 spring system ports are prepared from new on reformers, chairs, barrels, Cadillacs and spine correctors alike.
